Ejay Faralan,
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
As a queer Filipino American therapist in my 30s, this work is deeply personal to me. There was a time in my life when I felt emotionally alone, navigating identity, relationships, anxiety, and expectations without always having someone I could openly talk things through with. I was born in Los Angeles and moved to Milwaukee in 2020, and rebuilding community in a new city reminded me how important it is to feel seen, understood, and supported. My goal is to create a space where you can talk honestly about what you're going through without feeling judged or alone.
Many of the people I work with identify as people-pleasers, caregivers, healers, or peacemakers, people who often put others’ needs before their own. Over time, that can lead to anxiety, burnout, overthinking, low self-esteem, and difficulty setting boundaries in relationships. Some clients feel emotionally exhausted from giving so much of themselves. Others feel stuck in roles or patterns that no longer feel healthy or sustainable.
I want you to know that those patterns are not permanent. Therapy is a space to understand how you became the person you are today, and to intentionally decide who you want to become moving forward. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who integrates solution-focused and emotion-focused therapy with evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, and mindfulness.
My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. Together, we’ll work on understanding your emotions, communicating your needs more clearly, and building the confidence to advocate for yourself. I specialize in supporting adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation, and I’m especially committed to working with people of color and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. If you're going through a difficult season of life, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
